GREATER JOHANNESBURG

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

Does anybody realize how beautiful this country is. Somehow l do not think so. I have done my little research and most people l have spoken to seem to be pessimistic. They always wish they were somewhere else like maybe in Europe or the States.

ORANGE JOBURG

When people talk or sing about sadness they sing or talk about the blues. For me joburg is the opposite of blue - it's joy, and home, and parents, and friends, and 53 years of being alive and in love - especially with the city.

MY WORST EXPERIENCE IN S.A

MY WORST EXPERIANCE IN S.A
On the 21 of May 2010 around 9am i called for an ambulance because my wife was in labour.after an hour i called again. To my surprise i was told that everyone who calls claims emergency.however i told my story as before. An hour passed again, still there was no ambulance.Pushed by her agony i ran for a meter taxi along Kenmer. Before i left with the taxi driver,  an ambulance drove past into the Yeoville clinic.I asked for assistance but my plea was nipped in a bud. They told me to wait until they sent an ambulance specially for me.
I then took a taxi from the clinic to becker & fortesque where i stay.By the moment i got in the flat she was in the toilet in the process of delivering.I helped her through and the baby was born.Inspite that,we went to jhb hospital. All was well until i went to get a file for the baby. The man who helped me began to insult me.He accused foreigners of bearing street kids with local ladies. When i told him that i support my family thats when he calmed.Furthermore nurses were rough but doctors were very kind.I even shot photos of my wife being attended to by the doc.
Additionaly, two other patients were from the general hospital with complications due to nurses' negligence. The only way out is to learn their languages and threaten with legal action. This ain't new,PEP also has rough staff.People my advise is,go back home as soon as things settle and enjoy freedom.
Yeoville police are the best, keep it up

JOZI ROCKS

jozi rocks
My life in jozi has been an alsome adventure .I have learnt so much,it is a place of dreams and hopes.I have been living here since i was born.I have fell in love with jozi, maybe its the people or.......the vibe  well......whatever it is, it sure melts my heart. The first thing anyone can say on their first day here is 'WOW' definetly because you cant  imagine anything like it.Somehow it attracts human souls..l.o.l...i just love jozi 'THE CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS'.They say home is were the heart is,and my heart is definetly in my home country  south africa ..Living   here  is like being on a honey moon ...--not that i have been on one, but only great things are said about honeymoons and i can only say great things about jozi...-- ,the city might not have some of the cool sites like cape town--'the table mountain' but it has the COOL people ,yes indeed. Being in jozi has been fun yes but there are other  things that i did not adjust to.School has been a great challenge in my life ;there are people who will stop at nothing to ruin my life and bring me down on my knees they have made me cry ,sick, lie, and they made  me become something i never thought   was in me.My main objective here is to  build a bright future .i am still trying to fullfil dreams but i have learned the hardway that life is not easy ,inorder to become a somebody you will go through thick and thin and face hell but at  the end of the day you will  live the GOOD LIFE.If you succeed the easy way, your wealth will not last that long. anyway im back o track and life is good. i give a lot to my community and i get a lot,i help keep the environment clean and smelling good .oh well enough said ,you get the point i LOVE JOHANNESBURG.Its my life

THE RAND CITY

The Rand City
To most people, Jo'burg is a beacon of hope. They expect job opportunities, business opportunities, or even to find someone and make familes. Sadly, some are just here for crime and to devastate other people's lives.
It is imperative that we embrace the Rand City, we live in peace, treat others with respect and hold on to our values as a society. In that way we are creating a space for others to feel at home and welcome.
We all must succeed in life and think for others too. To all fellow South African it is uncalled for and unfortunate that we become hostile and xenophobic to foreign nationals, try to think how would you feel if it were you who was experiencing how they live or your family.
Let's all treat others with respect and live in harmony in the city of rand.
